SP-Books, LLC. was created by Shaina Pecoraro after the tragic passing of her father. The story of her first novel, What Got Us Here, is based on the true events of her childhood, which led to a distant tie to him. After finally mending her relationship with her father after the birth of her first child, her father lost his life after being hit by a car. Shaina decided to honor her father by sharing their story to show other families that they aren't alone in the often isolating events that occur with immigrant families.

Shaina hopes to continue publishing novels in the future and to use SP-Books to support other creators from immigrant families to make their publishing dreams a reality.
